MacZones

Refunds

Refund Policy.

We want you to actually enjoy MacZones. If it isn't working out, you can get your money back within 30 days — no forms, no interrogation. This page describes how that works, who handles the payment, and what statutory rights you keep on top of it.

Last updated: May 24, 2026.

TL;DR

Summary

  • 30-day refund window, no questions asked. Email us within 30 days of your purchase and we'll refund the license in full.
  • There is a 14-day free trial before you ever pay. Use it.
  • After a refund, your license key is deactivated and the app returns to its pre-purchase state. Your local data is left alone.
  • Refunds are processed through Paddle, our payment processor. The money returns to the card or account that paid.
  • Your statutory rights as a consumer (for example, the EU/UK 14-day right of withdrawal) apply on top of this policy.

1

The window

30 days, no questions

  • You can request a full refund of your MacZones license within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date shown on your receipt.
  • You don't need to give a reason. “Changed my mind,” “not for me,” or no explanation at all is fine.
  • The refund covers the price paid for the license, including any taxes Paddle collected on our behalf. Currency-conversion fees charged by your bank or card issuer (if any) are outside our control.

Try the trial first

  • MacZones offers a 14-day free trial of the full product. We strongly recommend using it before purchasing — it's the simplest way to find out whether the app fits how you work.
  • The trial doesn't require a payment method and doesn't auto-convert into a paid purchase.

2

How to request

  • Email hello@maczones.app from the address on your purchase receipt.
  • Include your order ID (it's on the receipt from Paddle) or, if you can't find it, your license key.
  • We'll confirm within a few business days and submit the refund through Paddle. Money typically lands back on your card or account within 5–10 business days after that — the exact timing is set by your card issuer or bank, not us.

3

After a refund

  • Once the refund is processed, your license key is deactivated. The app reverts to its pre-purchase state on any Mac where you'd activated it.
  • Your local data — layouts, profiles, hotkey bindings, saved sessions — is left alone on your Mac. If you want to remove it, the files live under ~/Library/Application Support/MacZones and ~/Library/Preferences.
  • You're welcome to keep using the free trial if any of it remains, and you can purchase again later if you change your mind. We don't blocklist refunded customers.

4

One-time, not a subscription

  • MacZones is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is nothing to cancel, nothing renews, and you will not be billed again.
  • If your receipt shows a recurring charge or you ever see one on your statement, that is a mistake or a fraud — email us immediately and we'll fix it with Paddle.

5

Payment processor

  • License purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our authorized Merchant of Record. Paddle takes the payment, issues the receipt, collects sales tax or VAT in jurisdictions where it applies, and processes any refund we approve.
  • Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, the charge on your statement will appear under Paddle's name, not ours. That's normal.
  • Paddle's handling of your data is governed by Paddle's privacy notice. The refund itself is governed by this policy.

6

After 30 days

  • After 30 days we generally don't offer refunds, but we do still want to know if the app stopped working for you. Email us — often we can fix the problem in an update.
  • If the app is broken in a way that prevents normal use and we can't or won't fix it within a reasonable time, we'll make it right. Use your judgment and write to us.
  • This paragraph is a goodwill commitment, not a statutory guarantee — but it reflects how we actually operate.

7

Chargebacks

  • Please email us before opening a chargeback. Refunds through Paddle are usually faster and simpler than a card dispute, and we'd rather help.
  • If you do open a chargeback, the associated license key will be deactivated automatically and may not be reactivated, even if the chargeback is later reversed.
  • This doesn't restrict any chargeback right you have under your card network's rules or your local law — we just prefer the email route.

8

Statutory rights

  • If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with a statutory right of withdrawal for digital purchases (typically 14 days), that right applies on top of this policy. Because our 30-day window is longer, you can simply use it.
  • Nothing in this policy or in our Terms & Conditions is intended to limit any non-waivable consumer right you have under the law of your country of residence.
  • If a provision of this policy conflicts with a consumer right that cannot be waived in your jurisdiction, that right prevails for you.

9

Changes

  • If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase.
